This wonderfully positive scene will pull on your heart strings and bring you comfort and a sense of peace. \u003c\/span\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn 2022 and to acknowledge the sad passing of our Queen, I released 'Love Knows No Bounds' to an astounding response, with the entire edition selling out. The feedback has been amazing ever since. One year later saw the nations' favourite little bear struggling with his grief, sat with his letter that he didn't get the chance to post. 'A Letter to Her Majesty' has sold in vast numbers, a particularly poignant and personal narrative touched so many hearts. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI never set out to create a miniseries of works; it was simply an authentic and honest tribute created in the hope that it brought comfort to many. At the time of our Queen’s passing, my world fell apart as I lost my beautiful Father, Michael. To have created such a powerful and successful piece at a time when I was struggling to function brought me so much distraction. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDue to the success of 'Love Knows No Bounds', a title conceived as a direct acknowledgement to the relationship with my father, I was asked so many times to create a follow up piece, which I did a year later. 'A Letter to Her Majesty' is beautiful, unbelievably sad yet with an element of comfort as an undertow to its narrative. It was at the point of writing the story behind the scene that I realised that I was talking to myself and acknowledging where I was at with my grief and struggles with my unbearable loss. The letter in question was one written to myself. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eYou see so many pieces that play on tragedy and are created for monetary gain, with my career being built on authenticity, I wanted to ensure that my reasons were evident and out there, regardless of how difficult I found them to relay publicly. I felt there was another chapter to be written, and then that would be it. To finish on a positive and to show that point of acceptance and through it, comfort. ‘Where Memories Take Flight’ is exactly that. It’s beautiful in so many ways. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAfter the heaviest storm, the sun breaks through the canopy. Surrounded by butterflies and wildflowers, a small bear finds his solace—and his heart finally takes flight once more. After such a period of sadness and loneliness, Paddington has found comfort through his memories and has found the strength to reconnect with the special details that then brings so much warmth to his heart. Setting about planting swathes of his friends favourite flowers over past months to help him find a positive distraction that would grow and bloom, what we see in this lovely scene is him proudly sat on his suitcase surrounded by the results of his efforts and in the company of two beautiful Corgis. Tucking into his marmalade sandwich, his sadness has turned to happiness through a sense of pride. Everywhere he looks he can see the results of his efforts, undertaken throughout the most challenging of times, where he found focus in isolation whilst he dealt with his loss to try to gain. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePaddington dominates this piece and he had to, he’s wonderful, look at that pride in his eyes, that still show a subtle fragility. It’s impossible not to love him! The inclusion of the dogs was to show how loved ones are drawn in to him to embrace his journey and show their love for him, remaining right by his side no matter what. The dove rising upwards behind his symbolises, as always, the person who has been lost but remains right with the one that misses them more than anything, again, right with them, always. That detail is so incredibly powerful. The solitary horse, shown in silhouette is included to show how those can continue to watch from further away but will always be there, to guide if needed. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eButterflies have always been prominent in my work; they represent freedom and growth through being set free to take flight. Such a powerful and beautiful detail that I know resonates with so many of you. These are a key part in this piece as it is exactly that, it’s that moment, born from that process of evolution, that metamorphosis. The final detail I will mention is the subtle oscillating lines that weave their way around the scene and Paddington. Created to represent that unbreakable bond and protective shield around the person who is fragile and needs to heal. It’s typically invisible but always there, shown here for just that moment. I guess I’m trying to say that no one is ever truly alone and no one is ever truly gone. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt’s not a case of being able to live happily ever after when someone is missing, but more that we need to find a new way to find and feel happiness to allow ourselves to live. No storm lasts forever. When the sunshine returns, so does the rainbow. Healing isn’t forgetting; it is learning how to smile at the memories.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI am so proud of this piece, and the previous chapters. Whilst acknowledging that I am nowhere near at this point where I have found peace and comfort, it’s telling myself that I can and will be some day, mean time I will continue to graft and be busy, creating as many positives as possible whilst I heal.
